42nd national fallen firefighters memorial weekend

Austin Smith was honored at the 42nd National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend on May 6-7, 2023, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Each fallen firefighter was honored with their name inscribed on a bronze plaque and permanently added to the National Memorial.

It was a weekend for Austin's family to come together, share and commemorate his commitment to public duty.

It was a wonderful tribute to all who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
